HIGH HOLIDAY TEFILLAH
The Washington Square Minyan will be holding services for Rosh HaShannah and Yom Kippur. Tefilot will be held in the downstairs chapel of Kehillath Israel (384 Harvard Street, Brookline) and are free of charge. Children's tefillah is in conjunction with Congregation KI. (Childcare required pre-registration.) We look forward to this tremendous day of prayer, singing and growth together.
Yom Kippur Schedule
Wednesday, October 8
Kol Nidrei, followed immediately by Ma'ariv – 5:50pm
Shiur by Marci Lenk, 10 minutes after the conclusion of Ma'ariv
Thursday, October 9
Shacharit – 8:30am
Mincha followed by Ne'ila – 4:30pm
Entering the Building
Please enter the building all the way on the right side on ground level through the door marked "Office." You will not be able to enter the building through the main entrances in order to get to our minyan's tefillah without going through KI's ticket/sign-up system. There will be an usher at the door to the chapel with mahzorim and handouts. We have plenty of mahzorim to go around, so there is no need to bring your own. There are a few places in which we will be making additions to the service; packets will be provided and we will announce these changes accordingly.
Bags and Strollers
There will be an area outside our entrance where strollers can be left and will be watched by a security officer. KI requests that strollers not be brought into the building. We recommend bringing a rain covering for your stroller in the event that the designated space is uncovered. We also ask that in the interest of space and security people not bring bags or coats into the sanctuary. There is a coat area in the entryway to the chapel where you can store your belongings.
Break-fast
The minyan will be providing a basic break-fast of juice, cookies, and the like at the end of the fast on Yom Kippur.
Shannah Tovah!
