About Us

The Washington Square Minyan is an independent congregation, guided by halacha and following the traditional liturgy. The Minyan is committed to creating spirited and spiritual davening and community in a family-friendly atmosphere. Services are egalitarian, with full participation by men and women. Men and women sit separately without a mechitza.

An eight member Va'ad runs all aspects of minyan programming.  Each Va'ad member works with Teams of community members who focus on specific programs and minyan events.
