High Holidays Childcare 5786 - For Sustaining Members and Child Care Fund Contributors

Washington Square Minyan welcomes your whole family to join us for Yamim Noraim and throughout the year!

Children are invited to join us in Tefillah and for kids' programming, available for children ages 18 months through 5th grade.

This childcare service is included in the Sustaining membership or as part of the childcare fund contribution.

If you haven't purchased the Sustaining membership or you haven't contributed to the childcare fund, PLEASE USE THIS FORM INSTEAD.

The expectation for all children below 9th grade in the building is that they are either in the designated childcare room OR are in their family's respective service. Children should not be unattended in the building. Each age group will have one hour of educational programming; from 10 am to 11 am on Rosh Hashana and from 11 am to 12 pm on Yom Kippur.

Ages 18 months - 2nd grade:
There will be drop-off childcare for ages 18 months through 2nd grade, split between three rooms divided by age. Children will not be able to leave these childcare rooms independently. Parents will need to retrieve their children if they would like them to be brought back into services. Childcare providers will come find parents if necessary.

3rd Grade - 5th Grade
There will be drop-off childcare for 3rd-5th graders. If you feel comfortable with your child walking independently between the childcare room and shul, you may indicate that here on this form. If yes, your child may tell the childcare providers that s/he wants to go into shul to find their parents and will be allowed to do so. Children are expected be in either the childcare room, or in services, and only walking directly between the two. If your child is found by our staff anywhere else in the building, they will be brought directly to you and will lose their privilege of being able to walk independently from the childcare room to services.

Middle School:
There will be a middle school hang out room in the chapel. This room will be supervised by one individual, but we are intentionally not referring to it as "babysitting". Middle schoolers are trusted to be able to come and go from the hang out room as they please, but again they should be either in the hang out room or in shul. If your middle schooler is found by our staff anywhere else in the building, they will be brought directly to you and will lose their privilege of being able to use the middle school hang out room.

We look forward to having you join us!
