Thank you for becoming a member of the Washington Square Minyan community. This will enable us to include you in our programs, our communication, and our planning. Now more than ever, as in-person, shared communal experiences are so hard to come by, it feels particularly important to reaffirm our warm, engaging, and spirited affiliation and commitment to one another, to find ways to connect and contribute that are timely and impactful, and to stand as one Kehillah. Since we do not currently have visibility into our programming and budget for 5781, the WSM Vaad has decided to defer the formal membership donation campaign until we have a better sense of our financial needs. We are mindful that our organization exists to carry out our mission, and we always endeavor to raise an appropriate amount of funds in order to do so. In the absence of a firm program calendar and budget, we feel it is prudent to wait before asking for membership donations at suggested denominations, especially when so many households are struggling with the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. That said, if you are in a position to make a donation at this point to help support our operations during this period it will be greatly appreciated, and any contributions will be applied to the financial contribution campaign later in the year.
